Hard and soft stuffing
Hard stuffing
In hard stuffing, the substrate is secured in the metal housing by being pressed directly into it. This process is particularly suitable for rugged applications subject to high mechanical stresses. The precise control of force prevents damage to the delicate ceramic substrate.

Soft stuffing
In soft stuffing, a cushioning mat is inserted between the substrate and the housing, acting as a thermal and mechanical damping layer. This process protects the substrate from vibrations and thermal cycling during vehicle operation.

Fully automatic canning line
